FIND:The.Guide

today is a big day! jonathan canlas, the talented photographer that i had the opportunity of taking a workshop from in 2009, is releasing a book today. if you like film, if you love film, if you have heard of film, this book is going to be one of the best things that has ever happened to you! this book brings the reality of photographing with film to life. a lot of people have the pretense that photographing with film is scary. we are slowly losing the basics of photography that you are forced to learn when you photograph with film. the FIND guide is easy to read and simple to understand, and breaks down that scary pretense and answers all those questions you have, like what film stocks to use and where and when to use them? how do I expose film? what is pushing and pulling film? which film format should i use? what camera should i use? jon tells all, with humor of course, in this beautifully designed book:

FILM IS NOT DEAD: A DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHERS GUIDE TO SHOOTING FILM

i am usually not one to promote and sell things on my blog, but i have personally read this book and it is well worth all the attention i am going to give it. i would chat this thing up no matter what, but jon has arranged for me to make a small profit every time someone buys a guide through my blog, so here is to helping both our dreams come true! the book is on sale {save $60} until thursday,feb.24 so buys yours as soon as you can!
