I copied this great tradition from my cousin Katelyn of making a birthday dress and I hope to be able to keep it up. I sewed Edith the Geranium Dress from made by RAE in size 12-18 months. The fit is perfect, with some room to grow, and I am just in love with the way it turned out. Here are some sweet photos of Edie all dressed up and happy as ever.

Edith's Birthday Dress.
Edith turned one year old this morning. I can hardly believe that an entire year has gone by since this sweet little girl joined our lives. She has brought us so much joy with her sweet little spirit and calm demeanor. I love having a little girl and feel like we have a special mother-daughter bond that can't be replicated. Edith is my snuggler; she will gently lean into me and rest her head on my shoulder every so often and I think its her way of letting me know she loves me. Her face lights up when she sees me after being apart, and it makes my heart feel full!

Six Months.
This happy little girl is six months old today. It amazes me that a whole six months has gone by, that is half a year. Edith is such a sweet calm, content baby most of the time. She doesn't play strange and she loves to watch her brother. She is not letting me sleep as much as I would like, but that is ok (for now). Edith loves to be on her stomach and is always rolling over; she has only rolled to her back twice. Edith's hair just keeps getting longer and longer, and cuter and cuter. She has the biggest smile that melts my heart and I love this sweet little girl with my whole being. I really need to take some nice photos of her with film, but my digital camera will have to do for now, (if only I were made of money). Enjoy!

I also had to share these sweet little shoes I made for Edith; they were inspired by this pattern.

A Handmade Christmas.
I love working with my hands. This year I took on two handmade projects, one for each of my little kids. It was fun! I love creating something from nothing, and although I know they won't appreciate these handmade gifts as much as I would like them to , I know that they will love them.
Edith's gift from me is a handmade Waldorf doll. She is made of all cotton and stuffed with warm local organic wool stuffing and made almost completely by hand. I enjoyed making her so much, I am sure I will be making more in the future. I made her two little dresses, and I still need to fix her hair up a bit. She is a sweet little doll and in the end she really did end up reminding me of Edith, which is what I hoped for.

Porter's gift is a car mat; but not just any ordinary car mat, this is Radiator Springs! Oh yeah! I thought I was pretty clever to dream this one up! And I bet you didn't know that Radiator Springs has a Cabela's. I sure hope he gets many hours of play with this creation!

3 mo.
It is hard to believe, but it has been 3 months now since this sweet little spirit joined our family. It is hard to even express how much joy and happiness this little girl has brought into my life! She is a simple girl, not much of a fuss, she is a great sleeper, a good eater, and very content. She isn't very eager to move (well not like her brother) and she seems to being staying my little girl and just slowly but steadily gaining weight. I am so grateful my life has been blessed with a daughter!

Big Stretch.
I love those little lips so much!
I no there has been a complete lack of blogging going on over here, but you will have to bear with me! Having a new born and a two year old is a lot of work. I hope to get some more photos posted soon though! Hope you enjoying life as much as I am right now. Take care!
